I laugh like a Hyena. Loud, over the top and during a movie, you’ll be laughing at my laugh. Not the scene in the movie that’s hilarious.
I have an amazing friend IncaKitty who constantly links me to some excellent Blogs that keep me entertained for hours! Today she linked me to a blog about an English man who has the world’s strangest dreams. He has the strangest dreams, so what’s the big deal? The big deal is the comments that come out of his mouth when dreaming. He dreams of Chilli Vagina’s, Dumpling’s who aren’t friends with Noodles & his vision of hell being a Lentil Casserole. This mans dreams are gold! His website (By his, I mean his wife’s Blog in which she’s used all of her husband’s quotes) is plain but his quotes are filled with Random Goodness
Here are a few of my favourite Quotes:
“My vision of hell is a lentil casserole.”
“Well that’s just great. Peanut butter in my crack. Goddamnit.”
“Put it down! Step away from the yam. Step away!”
“Flap’s on fire. Your flap’s on fire! Chili in the vagiiiiina. I’m a bad bad boy.”
“Oompa loompas don’t sing in heaven. They tidy up the clouds.”
Here we go again. Brace yourself people, this lot of photo’s are strange and again will leave you thinking “Aren’t they embarrassed when they leave the house?”… Note I said again.
Wow someone’s stuck in the 60’s. YOU LOOK SO GROOVY!
Mixed up? Or maybe he’s coming out of the closet at the ate of 75?
Today when we go to a store such as Target, Walmart, Best Buy etc we head over to the Computer Hardware department and choose a top spec’d digital camera for around $250. We then go to the counter and pay for our shiny new camera, little do we know that 30 years ago this type of camera would never have been thought of (because people thought that reaching 14MegaPixels was unreachable) and if it had been thought of and created it would probably have been as big as a small bathroom.
While browsing the most amazing tool in the world (The Internet) I came across this little article from a website called “Retro Thing” (AdamD linked me to the article!). This website finds everything retro, digs up a little big of information that sums up the device and then pretty much feed us geeks for a few minutes I found an article about Kodak’s first digital camera! I thought this was so interesting because it is so big yet it has NO interface and the way the photo’s are printed certainly make our ways of printing photos look amazing!
I think this camera is so interesting! Check out the photos
We’ve hit 2010 and I’m positive it is going to be a year of new inventions that are going to change the world, just like Intel changed the world back in the 90’s! To start the year off, although it is still in testing (And I’m sure it has a looong way to go) the standard drinking glass will be changed forever. Let’s create a hypothetical story.. You’re in a club and there are lots of people who are on your “Hate List” there. One of the girls is out to get you for stealing her boyfriend in the 10th grade! There’s a batch of cocaine being passed around the table. This mysterious white powder somehow magically ends up in your glass (Not by the girl who’s boyfriend you stole ) and you go to take a sip of that delicious BlackBerry Mojito but it tastes a little strange. Within 2 hours your passed out on the floor dying because that batch of cocaine was too strong for a person of your build… What could you have done to prevent that from happening? Nothing. Why? Because you never knew that the substance had been added to your drink. BUT what if there was a glass that told you exactly what is in the glass, how much of the liquid is in the glass, it’s temperature and whether or not it’s been spiked? If that type of glass did exist, you’d never have been left unconscious on the floor of that club, your family would never have had to endure such pain!
As 2009 comes to a close, I recap it. All up for my family it was not a great year! A lot of people passed away, a lot of injuries occured and plain bad luck hit us! While we hope and pray that 2010 is a better year for our family, I hope it is even more special than 2009 for you too!
ThatYummyBlog is jamming into it’s second year as a blog and it has done very well! I am so happy with it’s results! It’s just unbelievable what One person can do to achieve such goals! As I do every year, I am changing my Blogging theme! I am going to get more personal instead of writing about some retarded Celebrities! hehe! I find lots of interesting topics to talk about as my days go on and I think that you’ll enjoy reading some of them! Yes.. Rambling is still in for 2010! I know how much you all love it (Understanding my sarcasm?)!
I wish you all the best for 2010! A new year means a new Blog Theme! I will slowly introduce it to you all in the coming months of 2010! The theme I am looking at is designed by Michael Whalen (WhaleSalad) as is this current theme! He is an amazing designer and I suggest you take a minute to read his website! I end this Blog Post with an amazing YouTube video by a very creative YouTuber! It is a mashup of all the popular songs of 2009! I must say, despite 2009’s flaws, it produced some amazing music!
I love buying take away. It’s quick, tasty and very easy! Some of the deals you get from some of the fast food outlets such as the 12″ roll from Subway for only $6.95 are amazing but while eating fast-food, I always feel guilty! When I bite into a burger I think of where the fat is going. Thy’s, arms, toes, fingers.. Then I think that I’ll loose the calories when I get home by going for a jog. Then when I get home I really can’t be bothered putting on my sneakers and heading out the door. So what happens? The fat just sits there. It accumulates and your stomach grows and grows and grows! It’s really frustrating!
On Tuesday I went shopping. As I came down an escalator, I saw a massive sign that read “FitChips. 95.5% Fat Free”. I thought “Yeah Right..”. I was actually quite interested so I headed towards it and read some other facts. “Air Fried” “80% less fat” “Lightly coated in Vegetable Oil”. I then ordered a small box. I ordered the tasty Garlic Aioli (Bring some mints!!!) sauce to go with it as you get 1 free sauce included when you buy a box (If you buy a Large you get 2 free sauces).
There’s a large variety of dips to choose from, which is good because I’m fussy with dips! You can get Mexican Flavours, Spanish Flavours, American Flavours (Tomato Sauce etc) as well as Indian flavours! If you’re not too keen on their sauces you can get a Shake, to Shake up the flavour of your chips! The Shaker flavours are Red Chilli, Cracked Pepper and Chicken & Herb!
These chips are tasty and you may be able to get the A-OK from your dietician to eat these while your on a diet! Yummy!
After a day of Blogging about it, I saw the Google Car. I saw it a mile away and recognized it’s camera’s! I quickly pulled out my iPhone and shot some video. Excuse the poor audio editing – I edited this at 1am!
This is too awesome! It’s a stock standard car with 9 camera’s attached! hehe
Linux server in the trunk! Too cool! Can I haz?
Nice display for driving and watching Dexter at the same time. This guy has the life.
Close up of the 9 camera’s! Yeeha..
Speaking of awesomeness.. This car practically yells it out!
This is the Google Maps, Australia version car. It is simply a Holden (I’m pretty sure it’s called Pontiac in the US) Astra with a Linux server in the boot (trunk)! The car has 9 camera’s! Here’s some info provided by this awesome guy.
“Filling up at the local servo I parked next to one of the Australian Google Maps cars. The guy gave me a tour of insides, I was surprised to see a Dell server running Linux used to capture the image and satellite data from the 9 cameras. The guy simply loads a hard disk in the server which sucks up the data, when full he pops in another. All to be sent to the Sydney Googleplex for processing into Google Maps.
The Dell server is from the US so requires a US plug and power, the car carries a transformer. The screen in the passenger foot well is housed on a basic wooden pole. The GPS is accurate to with 1 metre.
The car was at Shell in Umina Beach on the NSW Central Coast.”
I love technology! I love being up to date and knowing whats hot as soon as the info becomes available! I consider myself as a tech head or maybe even a Geek! Call me what you want, but I love technology! I think that in the decade that has nearly finished we have jumped much further than we imagined, in the technology world! We went from CRT’s to LED screens. We went from Pentium 4 Intel processors to Intel 8 Core processors. We even went from a 20GB drive costing us $300 to a 2TB drive costing us only $200! That is an amazing leap in technology!
In this decade new careers have also been established! Between making video’s on YouTube and getting paid for it, to having a Blog and getting a certain percentage whenever someone clicks a link, these careers have changed lives!
I honestly think that in this past decade we have learned to accept people more as well! This is a great thing because everyone feels welcome where-ever they are! The world has changed so much!
Getting back to technology changes in this decade, I feel that older people are wanting to understand about computers and the internet! In the 90’s I honestly felt that people learned how to use technology because they had to, not because they wanted to! I personally think that this was because using computers back then was a chore more than having a bit of fun! Today things are so much more simple! Everything is point and click, drag and drop! With everything on the internet and with the internet at out fingertips I feel that the older generation are understanding the “new way” to do things hence their enthusiasm! Who needs the white pages with the internet now? What’s the point of having that 500 page book with the internet now? Who needs to have a physical cook book when you own a Kindle? Some people do disagree with me, but if you want to go totally paperless – you now can! Technology is excellent!
I look forward to the next decade. I am positive that it will have another massive advancement in technology! Between the Apple Tablet and the revolutionary new camera’s and car’s that are coming out soon the world will be a totally different place! Honestly, if you still have an old tape recorder or an ancient video camera – keep it! Because in 20 years there will be nothing of it’s kind ever created and it will be worth a pathetic amount of money. Wow I have done a pathetic amount of rambling in this post! Sorry! Just needed to tell you everything that’s stored up in my brain!
Hope you had an awesome Christmas, as I mentioned in a previous Blog Post!
Carl
Wow! 2009 has gone by sooo quickly! I still remember buying my Dog, Zoe this time last year!
New Years Eve 2008 feels like yesterday. I still remember setting up the Chinese theme decorations. Overall 2009 has been an Ok year for my family. Despite a few bumps on the road we’re alive and most of us are still healthy!
I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas Lunch, spent with family!
